Engineer I Civil

Department: Civil Engineering-Rice Lake
Location: Rice Lake, WI

SEH is currently searching for a talented Civil Engineer to join our team!

Your options as a civil engineer are endless at SEH. You’ll engineer better communities -- complete streets, safer sidewalks, more sustainable utilities, and trails and parks. Others specialize in large-scale projects, like flood control facilities, dams, landfills, harbors/marinas, structural retaining walls and larger geotechnical projects. Regardless of the project, you’ll have your hands in the mix through all phases of a project: planning, pre-design, design, contract documentation, bidding and construction. As people walk, drive, bike or commute through a community or across a landscape, your expertise is positively impacting their daily lives.

What you will be doing:

  • Planning, designing, and constructing services related to municipal and development projects such as streets, utilities, site development, storm water management, grading plans, pavements, and other projects as assigned
  • Project management, and or project management assistance
  • Unlimited professional growth

Required Qualifications:

  • Four (4) to twelve (12) years’ experience as a civil engineer
  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering
  • PE, or ability to work towards obtaining PE
  • This will by a hybrid position, however you will be expected to come into the office regularly
  • Ability to travel to onsite locations in and around Rice Lake, Wisconsin

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with AutoCAD, Civil3D, and HydroCAD
  • Preparation of reports, cost estimates, permits, etc...
  • Project management experience
  • RPR, and/ or staking field experience
