We are currently searching for a talented Payroll Manager to join and grow with our Finance and Accounting team!

The SEH Finance team actively partners with operations and leadership to ensure the company is on track for success. This Opportunity:

  • Supervise the payroll function. Ensure compliance with deadlines.
  • Be trained and able to fully perform the payroll function anytime necessary.
  • Develop, execute, and monitor processes to ensure accuracy.
  • Develop and publish necessary internal communications.
  • Perform administrator functions for the payroll software.
  • Provide information for various annual audits, and manage the ESOP and 401k audit, making sure the various participants comply with deadlines.
  • Pull data and prepare spreadsheets to list employees and related wages eligible for ESOP plan contribution.
  • Manage ESOP administration, distribution, and diversification processes, provide information needed by recordkeeper, analyze and review information provided by the recordkeeper. Ensure compliance with deadlines.
  • Manage Fidelity 401(k) portal, access setup and review, SPD revisions and review.
  • Collaborate with HR on benefits and any other necessary issues.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance or closely related field
  • Demonstrated experience managing all aspects of the payroll function while meeting deadlines and adhering to compliance standards
  • Capability and readiness to independently handle payroll operations at any time, without prior notice
  • Experience with audit processes related to payroll, ESOP, and 401(k) compliance
  • Proven expertise in the development and execution of internal processes designed to streamline and accurately execute the payroll process
  • Ability to develop and publish communications in an effort to educate and engage internal stakeholders
  • Demonstrated proficiency with ADP and Workday systems with ability to work in an administrator capacity
  • All offers of employment for this position are contingent upon the successful completion of a background check which meets company standards. This will be conducted post-offer acceptance.
  • Experience with payroll software administration and system implementation
  • Experience with ESOP administration and 401(k) plan management
  • Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis)
  • Working knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll regulations (FLSA, tax laws, ACA, etc.)
  • Knowledge of HRIS and accounting systems integration with payroll

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Five (5) years of payroll related experience, with at least two (2) years in a supervisory or managerial role
  • Experience managing employee benefit plans, particularly ESOP and 401(k)
  • Detail-oriented: Ensuring accuracy in payroll calculations and compliance deadlines
  • Strong analytical skills: Ability to review, analyze, and audit payroll and benefit data
  • Excellent communication skills: Ability to develop and publish internal communications
  • Problem-solving ability: Quickly resolving payroll discrepancies or compliance issues
  • Time management skills: Meeting strict payroll processing and audit deadlines
  • Collaboration: Working effectively with HR, finance and external auditors
  • Experience working with Oracle
